ARCHER of the FAYRE

We have today acquired the vital insurance
necessary to allow all interested Archers to
compete in the 2006 Archer of the Fayre competition

The Application form

There will be a number of conditions set by the organisers and
the insurers to ensure that we have an authentic,
safe and enjoyable event that we can all enjoy - spectator and
competitor alike.

All competing Archers will have to prove that they are either
members of a recognised archery organisation, or that
they are competent archers with a re-enactment Group or society.
This means that we will have to see membership evidence
before we can accept your application.

Archers will have to wear pre 17th Century kit, which must
include shoes, shirt & headgear, i.e. Hat, Hood or Helm.

The weapon used must be the English Long Bow, either solid or
laminated construction, of no greater than 80lbs draw weight.
Arrows should be hand made and of wooden constructions.
Piles must be Target type, no battle heads will be acceptable.
Bow string may be whatever you prefer.

Targets will be many and various.
Please click on Targets & Challenges to see the latest list
that we shall be choosing from.

There will be a limit to the numbers of archers that we can accept,
so please apply early or you may be disappointed.
