As an ancient Market town, Colchester once had its own coin mint. 

‘Grunal Moneta’ will set up a fully operational coin workshop in which,
as a fictitious extension of the Colchester mint, coins will be stamped
by hand on specially produced, hand-made dies and punches. 

Visitors will be able to make their own Market Tokens 
to keep as a souvenir.
