Our local weekly newspaper, The Essex County Standard, 
have agreed with their Local Historian and friend of the History Fayre Andrew Phillips, to run a major Feature about the Oyster Fayre
on Friday 6th June. 

This is a major coup for the Fayre. Mr Phillips has requested as much material from us as we can supply, and assures us that all details 
will be checked before going to press.

Andrew has done some fine centre-page spreads for the Standard 
over the years, including one for us in 1989. 
We are delighted to be assisting with this article.

We have been waiting weeks for this announcement, 
and we have agreed that Andrew shall have exclusive access 
to all our archive and picture resources.
